Garden tours

Many viewers have seen the development of Sophie’s current garden ‘Hamlyn Cottage’ on TV or have read about gardening in ‘Sophie’s Patch’ in her many columns.  She gains much pleasure in sharing her ‘patch’ on tours of her property.

Open gardens

Sophie’s Patch has two major open gardens each year, one in spring and one in autumn at Easter. Dates and full details are available closer to each date.

Private tours

Sophie’s garden patch also hosts groups with a minimum of 30+ participants by appointment in spring and autumn.  Groups are given a guided tour by Sophie herself and served a delicious homemade morning or afternoon tea with a focus on ingredients from the garden.

Special events

There are also a number of special events and individual group tours each year.  Details of these are promoted through this website, the Sophie’s Patch monthly newsletter and social media.
