June 2020
Phase 2 of the reGrowth Kangaroo Island recovery project involved distributing massive donations from the horticulture and nursery industry which we were able to share with people who have lost their gardens in the bushfires. I also ran several workshops at both Parndana and Kingscote for people ready to start designing their patch again.
These donations were coupled with the incredible energy, determination and care for their community by gardeners on Kangaroo Island who helped co-ordinate, organise, plant, and feed people over the weekend.
The generosity of people like Claudia Ait Touati and her team from Coonalpyn Waffles and Jaffles mean that we could offer these workshops and extend our support to bushfire affected people across Kangaroo Island.
Other supporters who made this possible include Jeffries, Ugly Dog Transport, Balhannah Nurseries, Poplar Grove Wholesale Nursery, Hillside Herbs and Succulents, Living Colour Plant Nursery
