Pumpkin festival at Sophie’s Patch
Climb aboard Sophie’s Patch Pumpkin Carriage and join us for a very special event to celebrate the magic of pumpkins with a garden tour, lunch and roast pumpkin tastings.
Start with a personally guided tour of Sophie’s Patch followed by a tasting of some of the different pumpkins grown last season and a casual lunch of exotic pumpkin inspired dishes.
Heather Hristovski, known in the industry as ‘the chef’s trainer’, will also take us through pumpkin tastings of ten different heirloom pumpkins roasted in garlic and olive oil grown at Sophie’s Patch last season.
Your taste buds will be delighted even further with a menu of:
- Roasted pumpkin soup with roasted chick peas & sour cream
- Moroccan spiced pumpkin dip with pumpkin seed lavash
- Pumpkin and mozzarella arancini balls with saffron aioli and
- Pumpkin and pine nut sausage rolls
After lunch you will receive the best information from The Diggers Club with a talk titled ‘Spring Seed Sowing for a Bountiful Summer Vegetable Patch’.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we finish off the day with sweet treats of spiced maple syrup pumpkin pie and pumpkin scones with orange jam and cream and tea and coffee.
When: Two dates available: Saturday 23rd or Sunday 24th September. This event will run from 11am to 2pm.
Carriage numbers are limited so get in early. Bookings are required through Eventbrite at the total cost of $95 per person inclusive of pumpkin delights!
