Once again there will be a fabulous program of speakers, nurseries, refreshment and surprises.

What happened in 2016?

spring open gardenBelow are the details from the 2016 Open Garden.  Details of our plans for 2017 will be available in October.

Inspirational: expert speakers talking about attracting butterflies and native bees to your garden, keeping chooks, Mediterranean climate fruit trees, and beekeeping.

Kids activities: Kristen Messenger from Bugs n Slugs will supervise bug related kids activities on Saturday and Kate Hubmayer will teach nature craft for kids on Sunday.

Browse & buy: quality plants from a selection of nurseries with unusual ornamentals, herbs, vegies and succulents.

Home made refreshments: will be available from stalls selling lunch, tea, coffee and drinks as well as cakes made from Sophie’s Patch produce.

Entry fee: $10, children under 18 free, stay in the garden as long as you would like. Supporting Mt Barker Rotary Club and Operation Flinders. Gates open from 10am to 4.30pm daily.

 2017 Easter Open Garden Advance Notice

Sophie's Patch will be open over Easter 2017 on the 15th, 16th and 17th of April.  Two Open Gardens a year provides a special opportunity for keen gardeners to see the evolution of this unique garden.
